Barge Troop Transport

Barge Troop Transport Space to Surface:
Unlike any other transport, it has no weapon system at all. It has very heavy armor, but no weapons. It is design purely to transport a battalion of troops/vehicles. It has a decent speed for it size, thus in the end it transport very efficiently. However it requires escorts at least, but often needs more so a secure path and landing zone. After landing it can continue to transports as it can roll into cargo hangars and maneuver about as need. It can carry gunships with it for smaller and quicker transport needs. However the gunships are able to travel from space to the surface and are often used to make a first assault and gain a quick foothold. Then it is follow by Barge transport which quickly take advantage of the secured foothold leading to a successful invasion attack. The unloading is very quick for it sizes as it loads in bulk. Pretty much as soon as Barge transport land and unload, the enemy chances of turning the back the landing forces critically drops as a flood of troops enter the battle. So these are often targeted by many experienced general than initial blitz assault of a invasion forces which often the cases for inexperienced who want to stop them from getting a foothold at all. Even experienced general still find this very hard as their armor with armed escort often give them enough chance to land, which when they do. It is not long for them to quickly unload and take full advantage of the foothold.
